Event Date and Time Field Overview
The event date field is what captures when a customer’s event is actually happening. It is added to the entity by default, and most lead and booking forms will have it set as required, since it is hard to run a business around an event you don’t have a date for.
There is a lot you can configure on this field. This article goes through all of it.
Date Display
Open the field’s settings and you will find Date Display, with two options, Pop-Up and Inline.
Inline shows the full calendar and time picker directly on the form, so the customer sees everything at once without clicking into anything.
Pop-up shows as a single text style field instead. The customer sees something like “Monday, 11 May 2026 · 09:00” with a calendar icon next to it, and clicking it opens the calendar and time picker as an overlay. This keeps the form shorter until the customer is ready to pick a date.
Date Selection
Once you’ve chosen how the field displays, you choose how a customer selects their date under Date Selection. There are three options here.
Range lets the customer pick a start date and time, then an end date and time, giving you a proper start and finish for the event.
Duration lets the customer pick a single start date and time, then set how long the event runs for from a duration dropdown, up to 24 hours.
Package sets the event length automatically from whichever package the customer has selected, so no duration option is shown to them at all. The length comes from the package, not from anything the customer chooses on this field.
Time Selection
Time Selection controls how the customer picks their actual time, and it has three options.
Dropdown gives them separate hour and minute fields to choose from.
Slider gives them a draggable slider, which they move with a finger on a touch device or the mouse wheel on a desktop.
Slots shows a scrollable list of fixed time slots for them to pick from.
Time Intervals
Time Intervals sets the spacing between the times a customer can choose, whichever time selection style you’ve picked. Set it to 60 minutes and times are offered an hour apart. Set it to 30 or 15 minutes and you get finer control over what’s available.
Time Range
Time Range sets the earliest and latest time a customer can book, for example 09:00 to 23:00. Anything outside that window won’t appear as an option in the dropdown, slider or slots, so this is how you stop someone booking an event at 3am if that’s not something you do.
Min Date and Max Date
Min Date controls how soon from today someone can book. Leave it on Now and a customer can book for today. Switch it to Custom and you can set a relative offset instead, so the earliest available date is always a certain distance from today rather than a fixed date that goes stale.
Max Date works the same way in the other direction, capping how far in the future someone can book. It comes with some preset options, plus one year, plus two years, plus five years, or you can set a custom offset.
Custom offsets on both fields use a short format: a number followed by a letter for the unit. W is week, M is month, D is day, and Y is year. So plus one week is written +1w, minus two months is written -2m, and plus three days is written +3d. A negative number moves the date backwards, a positive number moves it forwards.
Limit By Day
Limit by Day lets you restrict bookings to specific days of the week. Toggle off the days you don’t work and the calendar greys those days out automatically, so a customer can only land on a day you’ve left available.
